The Different Types of Massage
A unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement, and breath to give the relief from pain. With MRTSM, scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored, and relief from pain starts to happen.
This is one of the most valuable training classes I have attended. The Muscle Release Technique is derived from a technique developed in Europe. For the past few years, MRTSM has been applied to chronic and acute soft tissue problems and the results have been profoundly successful. The technique was taught to me by Michael Young, NCTMB Instructor. I have had remarkable success using this technique with chronic and acute soft tissue injuries. It is a unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement and breath. Many people can be free of most of their pain in a short period of time. I have used this technique to treat people with Fibromyalgia, Sciatica, Heel-spurs, Dystonia, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, MS, and the list goes on.
The success of the Muscle Release TechniqueSM is due to the method of treating the injury, the resulting adhesions and scar tissue and shorted muscles. Tendonitis is caused by the muscle becoming too tight, or short, from repetitive use. Deep tissue work only breaks up adhesions and scar tissue but does nothing to lengthen the muscle and relieve the pulling of the muscle on the attachment site. In using the Muscle Release Technique, we not only break up scar tissue, we lengthen the muscle, thus resulting in more flexibility, relieving nerve impingement and pain. By using this technique regularly, the muscle memory is restored and most pain sufferers get relief.
When Muscle Release Technique is used regularly, it not only helps to prevent injuries, it helps to achieve a speedy recovery.
A combination of techniques that combine to unwind and release chronic tension patterns in deep tissue, which can cause many painful conditions.

A tight, tender spot in a muscle. Trigger point therapy works well to break the pain-spasm-pain cycle by using direct concentrated pressure on the areas of discomfort.
A seated and clothed massage given in a special chair usually done in offices, at health fairs, spa days. Focus is to the, neck, shoulders, back and arms to provide relief from the everyday postural stress of computer, phone, and office work.
Massage can help with the stiffness. It can help with the aches. It can even help with the loneliness. Massage treats the little things that eventually become the big things. A little stiffness, for example, could lead to the awkwardness and lack of coordination that eventually ends up causing a fall. Massage can play a big part in keeping you vital and healthy.
