Getting Started
Massage Relieves aches, pains, and soothes away stress.
Massage is beneficial physiologically because it increases the flow of fresh blood and oxygen to the muscles. Massage relieves stress induced muscle spasms and revitalizing of muscles, reducing blood pressure and pulse rate. Massaging also acts as a natural tranquilizer and is capable of alleviating pain and reducing anxiety levels.
So how do I get started? All right, Eleanor you've convinced me. My muscles are sore and I'm ready to get going.
Firstly, don't be shy. Ask questions!
Oh then, how do I get started with this massage?
There is an art to receiving a massage. This means you can't just lie there or sit there like a blob and let someone else do all the work. Massage, is like the tango, it takes two people (to make it work properly). You need to develop the fine art of "tuning in". This allows you to fully enjoy the benefits and pleasures that await you. I need you to communicate with me how the massage is feeling, what the pressure feels like, where you hurt, and where you are sensitive. ** Note the use of "you" and "I" equals the two tango people.., and the analogy is complete...
Massage is for Every Body.
